Baker’s Heart is a growing brand with a variety of fine baked products. With several signature items, our bakery products are ready to use – for fundraisers or packaged as gift items.
A Food Service Social Enterprise
The food service industry represents 14% of the jobs in Hawai’i. Because the preparation for this industry does not require a college degree, Touch a Heart’s vocational training provides an opportunity to successful and quickly transition them into healthy and independent living, learning about a diverse and marketable field to begin generating their own income.
Touch a Heart
Since 2004, Touch a Heart offers informal social services mentorship and tutoring, in addition to producing meals to homeless families at Blaisdell Park, Waianae Boat Harbor, and the Kumuhonua Shelter.
With service days expanded to six days a week by 2012, Touch a Heart actively collaborates with other community groups to fund and provide volunteer outreach efforts.
Partnering with Salvation Army’s Family Treatment Services, Touch a Heart used their Kaimuki facility’s commercial kitchen in 2015 to establish a six-month Vocational Training Program. Baker’s Heart, as an additional development, supports the training through commercially marketable products.
